Good food...

While in Branson we went over to the Boardwalk and ate at a restaurant right on the water. This was the chicken fry Kenneth got...it was HUGE! Way too much for one person to eat.

We rode the Trolley from one end of the Boardwalk to the other and back again, just to see all the shops and these two boys were accepting donations for their playing of the buckets. They were very good.

NOAH's Ark...

We went to the Sight and Sound theater in Branson, just 30 min. south of Springfield, and saw Noah's Ark. It was really neat with a stage that makes it really seem like your inside the ark with all the animals.

The next show starting in November will be "The Miracle of Christmas"

Lamberts Cafe...

south of Springfield in Ozark, MO. is Lambert's Cafe. We meant Amanda, Charles and Emily And Richard and Dottie there for lunch. It was a really fun place to eat. they had a train in the entry area.

it's the home of "throwed rolls" one of the waiters stands in the middle of the room and asks "who wants a hot roll!" if you raise your hand you better be ready to catch the rolls he throws! then another waiter comes around with molasses, YUM. Every few minutes someone comes around with fried okra, potatoes, etc. All that ontop of your main course.

If your anywhere in the area its worth the drive to go.

We're not terrorists we're from Texas...

When we went to Springfield we discovered an underground trucking center. We drove in to speak to the guard and ask "What is this place?" He explained that as they dig out the granite from underground it opened up a large cavern which they rent out to company's which have to keep there products refrigerated. The cave stays at a steady 65* year round. Pretty cool!

Vacation 2009...

Kenneth and I ended up being able to be together for our 33rd Wedding Anniversary after all! Because the water level in the lake by his cousins was so low they were unable to fish there, so he drove on over to Amanda and Charles, we all went to watch Charles play ball.
