Away too long...

When we got new phones and I was taking almost all my pictures with my phone, I have had a terrible time trying to figure out how to get the photos off the phone so I can blog about what we've been doing.  Well we now have switched carriers and once again I'm trying to get the photos off the phone onto the blog.

But, I am more determined this time.  So wish me luck.

January 2016...
Is birthday month...

Kenneth bought me a Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake, It was very good.

The girls got me a light up solar bird feeder...

Do you see the lime green lettuce growing in the herb bed, I planted that last spring!  It tried it, it was very bitter.

The month of January I follow Apartment Therapy and do whole house cleaning.
This prepares the house for the month of February and Megan's birthday party.

She likes "green", and Dinosaurs, So Her Mamma made a Green "Good Dinosaur" Cake.  It had chocolate rocks and graham cracker mountains, It was very good.

She had a good time...

This month we have also been working on some of the small touch up remodeling we didn't get finished last year, Got this sign hung up...
"Grow Old Along with Me the Best is Yet to Be", It's from Magnolia Market, Chip and Joanna Gains their show on HGTV "Fixer Upper".  Just love everything they do, they are wonderful people.  Hope to visit the Silo's in Waco soon.

We built the DVD cabinet,

I designed it to match the fireplace mantle and Kenneth finished painting the top trim and Utility room walls, I picked up all the silver frames from a thrift store for $7.00 and Amanda helped me lay out a design for the living room walls.

I still have spaces left for things we collect along the way.  I also need to replace the pictures with some of our own.  I made the Cork "F" from corks I collected from people I worked with for about a 2 - 2 1/2 year period.  NO! we didn't drink it all.

a close up of the little sign Kenneth bought...

I have finished designing the stained glass pattern for above the kitchen sink

and we've worked outside one day cleaning the flower beds.  It has been a mild winter so far, we're planning on transferring the lantana from the south bed out to the front yard. It just grows wayyy bigger than I ever thought it would and ends up taking over the whole bed and path way.

Daffodils are starting to come up and we planted 50 tulips this fall, so hoping they all grow also.
